These are donations, and any amount is welcome. They are not the same thing as the $15 annual membership a sailor pays to join a team, which lives on Sail With Us.
Keep your seat
The $15 that keeps coming back.
Hundreds of MudRatz parents keep paying the $15 annual membership long after their own sailor has aged out of the program. Some of them last had a kid on the water a decade ago.
It is a small enough amount to forget you are paying it, and together it is the quietest, steadiest money the program has. It is not tied to one regatta or one boat. It just turns up every spring and pays for the next kid's season.
If that is already you, thank you. You are the reason a volunteer-run team is still here after thirteen years. If you would like to join them, it is $15 a year and it renews itself.

$15 a year, cancel any time in your own PayPal account. This is the same membership every sailing family holds, so if your sailor is registering this season you will have set it up already.

Almost every boat the MudRatz sail was given to us.
Nine keelboats have been donated to the program since 2013, and almost the entire fleet arrived that way. Boats that fit the program go sailing with kids on them rather than straight to auction. Read the log book to see where the last ones ended up.

We evaluate
A coach or board member reviews her against program needs, usually within a few days.
Transfer
We coordinate survey, haul-out, transport and title. You sign the title over.
Paperwork
A written acknowledgement, and Form 1098-C once the disposition is determined.
